PURPOSE:Hair tonic composition having an excellent hair growth accelerating effect, containing an extract of more than one sort of crude drug selected from thistle, Chinese matrimony vine, Bupleurum root, Cnidium Rhizoma, and leech as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:One or more sorts of crude drugs selected from thistle, Chinese matrimony vine, Bupleurum root, Cnidium Rhizoma and leech, preferably Bupleurum root and/or leech, are extracted by conventional process. The extract of the crude drugs is mixed preferably in an amount of 0.01-30wt% to the total amount of the composition to give a hair tonic composition having an extremely excellent hair growth accelerating effect. Said composition can be used as, e.g. hair tonic, hair lotion, hair cream, shampoo, rinse etc. and may contain other conventional ingredients. |
