<p>The base constituent is an epoxide resin obtd. by the reaction of epichlorhydrin with a chlorobisphenol, plus an inorg. or org. Sb, As or P compd., solvent, pigments etc and finally hardening agents which are aliphatic or aromatic amines. The chlorobisphenol can be the condensation product of phenol with chloral or its hydrate. The coatings obtd. with these paints have much better resistance to water, acid, alkali, oil etc. than conventional flameproof paints and are also more effective flame-. retarders.</p> |
