Preparations for the treatment of the effects of decalcification of the skin (wrinkles etc.) contain a calcium salt and vitamin D2 in a skin-absorbable base. In an example, a cream was prepd. contg. (by wt.): 'Tesal' (RTM) 15-18%; 'Labrafil' (RTM) 3-7%; paraffin oil 1-5%; lanolin oil 1-4%; distilled water 60-68%; fungistat 0.1-0.3%; perfume 0.1-0.4%; calcium gluconate 5-10%; vitamin D2 0.020-0.040%. 'Tesal' is a propylene glycol stearate made auto-emulsifiable with an amine soap, and 'Labrafil' is a mixture of polyoxyethylene lauropalmitostearic glycerides.
