<p>PURPOSE:To prevent both ends of coils from being deformed by making a hollow pipe for coil-making into a highly precise spiral shape through the electrical discharge method, and stretching out the both ends of coils so as to widen spaces between the processed coils, then fixing it in that position. CONSTITUTION:A hollow pipe 8 made of conductive materials is fixed to and supported by a rotary apparatus 9 which turns on an axis C. A wire electrode 1 hving the specified angle of inclination from the axis perpendicular to the pipe 8, lineally moving to and from guides 4 and 5 is provided. After this, pulses for processing are applied from a power source 19 to the pipe 8 and the wire electrode 1. While giving to the pipe 8 a cutting process with the wire by means of the electrical discharge, the pipe is cut into coils required. When this electromagnetic process is given, the pipe is fed at such a pitch that its length corresponds to the inclined angle of the wire electrode 1 every turn of the pipe 8, using motors 16 and 17, and a shifter provided on a table 14, so that precise spiral shaping can be achieved. Then both the ends of the coils are stretched out and fixed in that position.</p> |
