PURPOSE:To simplify a coding process by generating and sending concatenated codes by internal codes and then by performing top-priority decoding of concatenated codes in reception. CONSTITUTION:Information inputted in bit series to shift register 11 through switch 10 is stored there up to bit V, and respective bits are transferred in parallel to logic circuit 12 and coded there before being sent out to a transmission line in bit series. In an internal decoder, on the other hand, comparator 14 compares contents of register 13 with a N-bit code transferred from memory 16 through register 15 and this comparison is repeated n times. In maximum pointer 16, external codes after top-priority decoding are therefore set. Then, those external codes are supplied to external decoder 6 for final decoding, thereby obtaining desired information. |
