PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization, cost reduction and temperature correction of a tuning-fork type piezoelectric vibrator at the same time and also to utilize it for ladie's wrist watches effectively by forming a small turning fork at the free terminal of one vibrating arm of the vibrator. CONSTITUTION:On one main surface A and the other main surface B of a tuning fork type crystal vibrator, one tuning fork type vibrator 9-1 is formed of vibrating arms 9c and 9d and at the tip of vibrating arm 9c, on the other hand, small tuning fork 9-2 with vibrating arms 9a and 9b is formed; both vibrators 9-1 and 9-2 have electrodes excited independently. As for small tuning fork 9-2, the center electrode of one vibrating arm 9a and the circumference electrode of the other vibrating arm 9b are connected together into electrode 10c, and the circumference electrode of one vibrating arm 9a and the center electrode of the other vibrating arm 9b are connected into electrode 10d. Further, electrodes 10c and 10d are connected to electrode terminals 10cT and 10dT by way of a center part in the longish direction of the other surface of vibrating arm 9c. |
