摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the yield of an element manufacturing process and mass-producibility, by partially covewring a part between electrode fingers in regions, which do not confront each other in an elastic surface-wave propagation direction, with a metal coating. CONSTITUTION:A thin-film elastic surface-wave propagation element is provided additionally with metal film 14 (indicated by slanting dotted lines) and electrode fingers of reed screen type electrodes 11, 11 opposing mutually are formed without an electrode finger clearance in regions which do not confront. Opposiing electrodes 15 and 16 of reed screen type electrodes 11 and 12 are shown by 15 and 16. Adding thin film 14 like this excit an elastic wave there, but since its wavelength differ remarkably from that excited where electrode fingers of electrodes 11 confront mutually in an elastic surface-wave propagation direction, a bad influence is exerted direct to element characteristics. Namely, there is no need to form and position accurately opposite electrodes, so that its yield and mass producibility can remarkably be improved.
