The invention concerns packing material for products which require a certain standard of controlled ventilation, for example cheese 19. The gases which are generated, even after the actual ripening process, must be drawn off. The purpose of the invention is to solve this problem, whereby other conditions necessary for the packing of cheese are considered at the same time. The packing material forms herewith, partly or completely, a cover 10 for the enclosed cheese. Going from the inner surface to the outer, the material (laminate) is made up of a first water-vapour impermeable but gas-permeable layer 15, a second gas-permeable layer 16 and a third gas-impermeable barrier layer 17. The second layer has hereby at least one exterior free cut edge 18' for making possible the said ventilation. <IMAGE> |
