PURPOSE:To reduce noise while running without substantially impairing the tread life of the tire, the traction performance and the horizontal travelling safety by means of a vent hole provided on the lug tire in such a manner to communicate to the cross-sectional groove. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cross-sectional grooves are extended from both ends of the tread toward the tread central line CL in such a manner as to be staggered in the direction of the groove. These grooves compose lugs 3. Vent holes 4 communicating to cross-sectional grooves 1 are made on the respective lugs as near the bottom of the grooves as possible and closer to the tread. In this manner, it is possible to reduce the noise while running without substantially impairing the performances of the lug tire such as tread life. |
