PURPOSE:To reduce the extent of friction in a sliding part as well as to make a collected oil reusable by installing a sealing means which seals oil, insomuch that it seeps out by sliding motion between a strut tube and a strut rod, and covering this means with a dust boot. CONSTITUTION:A piston 3 is moved by external force added to an interval between a strut tube 1 and a strut rod 2, and an upper chamber A feeds or exhausts oil to or from the inside of a lower chamber B. Here, if hydraulic pressure in the upper chamber A goes up, oil seeps out of an oil seal 9, and it is collected in a lower receiving member 20 of a dust boot 24 installed interposingly so as to cover an interval between the strut tube 1 and the rod 2. The oil collected in the receiving member 20 is discharged by contraction of the dust boot 24. Thus, since the oil is sealed, insomuch that it seeps out between the strut tube and the strut rod, friction in a sliding part is abatable, and this seeping oil is recoverable without entailing any seepage from the dust boot. |
