Test rig for antiskid brakes - includes rolling road and fail=safe wheel speed sensors

A rolling road test rig for anti lock brakes has one axle of the vehicle supported on the rollers and the other axle on the ground. The brakes on each axle are fitted with a failsafe valve (11) which prevents the antiskid control from operating if the wheel speed is below a set value. The interlock ensures that the axle which is on the ground has its brakes locked during the test. This prevents the brake reaction force on the other axle from pushing the car off the rollers.
