<p>A simplified handbrake control lever is used in which two cast metal levers replace a multicomponent brake lever. One casting comprises the main lever (3) and has a slot (2) to locate over the ratchet bar (10) while the other lever has an offset arm (1) to provide the link to the brake cable. Both parts are linked by the common pivot axis (11), and have the ratchet bar likewise supported on the axis. The ratchet construction is according to known practice.</p> |
