Winding shaft for theatre curtain - has locking catch at each end with wheel, switch and lever to control motion of motor driven shaft

The pull-up curtain for the stages of theatres or sports halls has a motor-driven winding shaft(17) for the pulley-belt. The winding shaft (17) has a number of sections which are joined together by means of universal joints or flexible rubber connections. The two ends of the winding shaft(17) have a catch(45) with a pawl wheel(46) controlled by centrifugal force and fixed to the winding shaft (17). Each pull-out device (45) has a switch(60) which cuts out the winding motor when the winding shaft breaks. The locking pawl(49) locking the wheel is joined to the switch(60). The switch(60) is in the form of a limit switch with a lever(61) which is connected to the locking pawl by means of a roller(62).
