PURPOSE:For effective waste water treatment with high degree stabilization of organic material, organic waste water is removed from biologically hardly decomposable materials, treated by oxidation and decomposition for improved adsorbability, and then undergoes active carbon adsorption treatment. CONSTITUTION:Organic waste water is first added with coagulant 17 of ferric salt, and adjusted 18 to pH 3-5.5 to permit suspended material in the waste water to be coagulated with ferric hydroxide flock for separation. The treated water is added with iron salt 20 and hydrogen peroxide 21 to allow organic material to be oxidized and made to pH 4 or higher by adding alkali 18 so that iron salt catalyst is separated as precipitate of ferric hydroxide. The separated ferric hydroxide is dissolved by adding mineral acid 24 to be regenerated into ferric salt for use as coagulant. The treated water separated from the ferric hydroxide is adsorbed with active carbon 29 thereby to remove organic material. Thus, the process constitutes a highly efficient organic waste water treatment. |
