PURPOSE:To exactly obtain the phase shift of light-sound output of an analyzed sample to the light-sound output of the reference sample by obtaining the autocorrelation and correlation of both signals from the analyzed and reference samples. CONSTITUTION:Outputs from the analyzing side detector 9 and reference side detector 10 are fed to the multiplier 15 through the amplifiers 11, 11' to obtain the correlation of both signals. Also the signal from the detector 10 is lagged by a phase difference of 90 degrees by the phase shifter 14, fed to the multiplier 16 to obtain the correlation of the signal from the detector 9, and the autocorrelation is obtained by the multiplier 17. The ratios of respective correlations are computed by the division units 19, 20. |
