Through planet wheels, an input shaft drives a cage which meshes internally with two helical gears, fixed to two concentric, independently rotating shafts. Each carries a sun wheel which mesh with planet wheels running around fixed internal wheels. The planet wheels are mounted on spindles fixed in the end of the output shaft. Under load, the cage moves axially to maintain equal distribution of the torque between the two helical gears and, hence, the two sets of planet wheels.
