PURPOSE:To simplify circuit constitution by using bridge type inverter revolution, inductance elements and diodes both connected between an output of a rectifier circuit and a smoothing capacitor, and a coupling capacitor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device has a rectifier circuit 1, a smoothing capacitor 2, switching transistors(Tr) Q1-Q2, diodes D1-D2, capacitors C1-C3 and an inverter circuit. One output from the rectifier circuit 1 is connected to the smoothing capacitor 2 through the series circuit of a choke coil CH3 and a diode D4. A discharge lamp 5 is connected between a node between the capacitors C1-C2 and a node between the Trs Q1-Q2 through a choke coil CH4. The series circuit of a coupling capacitor C4 and an impedance element Z1 is connected between the node between each Tr Q1-Q2 and a node between the CH3 and the diode D4. Accordingly, the diode D4 is turned ON-OFF at a high frequency, and effective currents are lowered to average currents. |
