Corrosion-protective compsn. consists, by wt., of 20-40% diisocyanate-based polyurethane resin, 20-40% Meiso-BuCO and 20-40% toluene. Pref. component ratio is 1:1:1. The compsn. can be used in ship-building, boiler-, pipe- and steel construction, and also in building industry. The compsns. can be applied to all moist or wet, opt. absorbent, fat- and oil-free substrates, including metals, brickwork, concrete and wood. The Meiso-BuCO and toluene increase diffusion and penetration into capillaries. The compsns. harden to insoluble, rot-proof, abrasion- and impact-resistant coatings, which can be worked at minus 20 deg.C up to plus 40 deg.C. The compsns. resist acid and alkali and are attacked only by 96% H2SO4 and aqua regia.
