<p>To momentarily change the conveying speed of massproduced individual articles conveyed on a conveyor belt past a processing station which requires stopping of the article for processing, a plurality of trolleys move parallel to the conveying path of the articles for momentarily picking up and entraining one article at a time. The trolleys are connected to a driving member formed by a helical drive gear for controlling the linear displacement of the trolleys. The drive gear has a slot with linearly varying pitch having a pick-up range acceleration, decelaration, stopped, reacceleration, decelaration, and transfer ranges and in which the driving member connected to the trolley is guided.</p> |
