PURPOSE:To increase the sustain margin due to the fluctuation of load, by providing a plurality of dammy cells at the outside of indicator while adjoining each starting electrode formed on X and Y substrates of gas discharge indication panel. CONSTITUTION:At the outside of indicator, a plurality of dammy cells 17 are provided in adjascent to the starting electrode 15 on X substrate 11, while a plurality of dammy cells 18 are provided in adjascent to the starting electrode 16 on Y substrate 12. Sustain voltage from sustain voltage supply circuits 2, 3 and write voltage from address circuits 4, 5 are provided to the dammy cells 17, 18 which are continuously lighted while being concealed not to disturve the indicator. Consequently the variation rate of load due to the lighting cell is reduced while the fluctuation of sustain voltage is increased. |
