PURPOSE:To reduce the pressure loss of helium gas, by cooling the temperature- raised part of a superconductive wire with the helium gas of pressure equal to or higher than the atmospheric pressure and by cooling the helium gas with liquefied helium or other helium gas. CONSTITUTION:A pressure controller 1 comprises a pressure equalizing tank 19 and a regulating valve 20. A thin helium passage 5 is provided in the winding part 2 of a superconductive magnet device. The pressure controller is connected to the helium passage 5 through a heat exchanger 4. The helium gas pressurized to an appropriate level by the pressure controller 1 is filled into the passage 5. The winding part 2 is housed in a low-temperature container 3. The liquefied helium or pressurized helium gas of very low temperature is filled in the container 3 to cool the passage 5 by natual convection. The temperature-raised part of the superconductive wire is cooled by the helium gas of pressure equal to or higher than the atmospheric pressure. The helium gas is cooled by the liquefied helium or the like in the container 3. The pressure loss of the helium gas is thus reduced when the magnet device is a heavy one. |
