<p>Polyolefins are produced by a process which comprises polymerizing or copolymerizing an .alpha.-olefin or olefins in the presence of a catalyst system comprising component A prepared by the reaction among the following five substances: (1) an organic hydroxylated compound, (2) metallic magnesium, (3) a organic oxygenated compound of a metal of group IVa, Va, or VIa of the Periodic Table, (4) a halogen-containing compound of a metal of Group IVa, Va, or VIa of the Periodic Table, and(5) an aluminum halide, and component B, an organometallic compound of a metal of Group I, II or III of the Periodic Table: in a further aspect there is provided the catalyst system for producing the polyolefine.</p> |
