PURPOSE:To make it possible to replace the stylus of a MC type cartridge, by combining two cantilevers together. CONSTITUTION:When stylus 13 traces on record 20, sound vibrations picked up are transferred to cantilever 11 and stylus 9 in touch with it picks up the sound vibrations and then transmits them to cantilever 8. Those vibrations vibrate armature 6 in a magnetic field and an output is extracted from a moving coil. As for a MC type pickup cartridge constituted in this way, stylus 13 wears while stylus 19 staying on lever 20 never wears. Here, stylus 13 is fitted to lever 11 fixed to detachable holding member 12. Therefore, stylus 13 can easily be replaced in one together with holding member 12 and lever 11. |
