SWITCHING NETWORK WITH CROSSTALK ELIMINATION CAPABILITY

A switching network comprises incoming lines connected to subscribers, outgoing lines intersecting the incoming lines, and switching elements provided at preselected cross-points of the incoming and outgoing lines. According to the invention, idle and unused incoming and outgoing lines are grounded while a subscriber is connected to a desired outgoing line. Thus greatly reduces or eliminated wiring or switching crosstalk because the crosstalk is, in effect, leaked to ground. Complete groundings not necessary as an extremely high reduction in crosstalk may be obtained using low impedance elements such as transformers or capacitors connected to ground.
