The collar is designed for precision mass production and convenient and reliable fitting. It comprises an annular body (12) intended to clamp a lens (10). It comprises two groups of feet (13, 14) arranged alternately. One of the groups of feet is intended to be on the internal side of the iris, and the other on the external side, so as to hold a collar/lens assembly. In order to facilitate the fitting operation, the feet of at least one group are flexible. The collar is manufactured from a blank obtained by erosion of a thin sheet covered with a photoengraving mask.
