PURPOSE:To empty can crushing machine which consists of a press for crushing empty cans, a receiving member causing the press to start upon sensing of charging of cans, a feed member for sending empty cans into the press and a recovery vessel and which may be built into automatic vending machine. CONSTITUTION:When an empty can A is charged, it rolls on the bottom 44 of a tary 42 and rides on a holding plate 55 and pivotarry moves this downward. At the same time, a motor starts running to move a pressure plate 4 to the right and let a feed finger 82 erect behind the empty can A. Next, the empty can A is pushed out from the holding plate and is dropped onto the top surface 10 of the pressure plate. The can is then received by the keep plate 35 of a fixing plate 3 and the turn-over action of the holding plate causes motor to stop. When the next empty can B is charged, the motor runs backward to move the pressure plate to the left and at the same time let the finger lay down. The pressure plate again moves right and crushes the empty can A having dropped between the pressure plate and fixing plate, after which the crush can is released into a recovery vessel 29 through a discharge port 25. |
