Potato peeler - with flexible strip deflectors suitable for other tubers or hard fruit

In a machine for peeling tubers and hard fruit, esp. potatoes, of the type in which the rotary peeler vessel has a peeling disc bottom with slots and peeling knives together with vertical elastic strips act as deflectors to carry along and turn over the potatoes. The deflectors are made with a front and back piece of a thin elastic material joined at the top to enclose a cavity and extending in a radial direction over the disc.
