<p>The strip of earth scraped up by the rotation bodies (3) is formed into a roll (6) which is then laid out to form a ridge. During the laying out process the scraping action is interrupted. The rotation bodies are driven, and the roll of earth is formed so that its symmetry axis is at right-angles to the direction of scraping. To lay out the roll to form a ridge, the scraping unit is raised and removed to one side. The whole equipment used comprises a scraping plough body which evolves into a curved part (2) which forms the roll. The scraping unit is symmetrical, and divided into two parts in a V-formation when viewed in the plane of the scraper. The point of the V-formation is counterposed to the direction of scraping.</p> |
