<p>The sealed container for food etc., may use combinations of cardboard, metal and plastics foil. The main body (2) which can be cup shaped, has an outwards flange (12) around the tap. This forms a base layer which has an inner sealing layer (8) laminated onto it, extending over the flange. A lid (14) in the form of a membrane is attached to the flange, and has a pull tab projecting from it. It also incorporates a line of weakness all round so that it can be torn off. In tearing the membrane, a part (20) of the sealing layer is removed from the flange, and remains attached to the pull tab.</p> |
