The bindings (11) of a winding of a rotor having radial cooling channels (14) are produced such that in each case one ring (4) is positioned and fixed above the cooling channels (14), the axial position of which ring (4) is fixed by means of bolts (7) which project into the cooling channels (14). The bindings (11) are wound between the rings (4) and are cured. After curing, the rings (4) are removed. The bolts (7) can be arranged displaceably in the inner surfaces of the rings (4) so that their position can be matched to the position of the cooling channels (14). The advantage of the method is, in particular, that the rings (4) prevent the bindings (11) flowing during their production, said bindings (11) being fixed on the rotor by means of the bolts (7) in the cooling channels (14), without any additional design measures. <IMAGE>
