The handle (3) of the toothbrush has a grip (4) designed with finger recesses (5a-5e) to ensure correct and easy hold of the brush during cleaning. The grip member can be made of a plastic material forming a bead-like thickened end to the handle (3). The handle indentation are such that the grip is suitable for either the left or the right hand.
