Record player tone arm vertical and rotary motion control - uses follower and lift platform coaxial with tone arm and driven by player motor

The tone arm is rotatably and pivotally mounted on the record player chassis. The control device consists of a follower, coupled to the tone arm, resting with a frictional seat on the surface of rotary and vertically movable platform as in 2537265. The platform (11) is coaxially mounted in relation to the tone arm axis and driven by the record player motor. The platform drive can be remote controlled, using electric or mechanical control commands. For the electric command tripping is used a magnet which swivels a tripping sheet on actuation, which is positioned in the rotary field of a permanently driven pinion, being carried by a cam connected to the pinion. The sheet is firmly secured to a control disc (1) whose periphery has a toothing (46), interrupted by recesses.
