For open squares or paths accessible to the public the heating and drainage system, keeping the drains clear of ice and surface clear of snow and excessive water, is esp. for sports fields and recreation areas. Sheathed rib pipes below the surface, as heating system, combine with a ducting system of similar pipes above ground to form a closed circuit. Pipes are laid as drainage system with peripheral apertures in them, between two colectors. At least one collector has an end pump while the other has end valves for opening and closing to and from the atmosphere.
