Transport mechanism for instant picture camera - shifts film by manual operation of toggle on side, which is geared to rollers

The instant picture camera has a mechanism which conveys the exposed instant film out of the camera housing. The film is shifted by operating a knob manually, which is geared to the transport rollers. The camera is made from standardised components so as to reduce the size. There is a toggle (8) on the side of the camera which is used to operate the transport mechanism. The toggle can be locked in position and used as the carrying handle. The transmission gears(14, 16) are of an irregular shape.
