The indication and/or program preselection of switching cycles relates to electronically controlled space temp. controllers. The cycles are determined by two different temp. ranges. The actual time cycle out of a number of programs stored by the microprocessor, is indicated by an incandescent or a glow lamp or light emitting diodes, by-passing the respective instantaneous time. They are directly controlled by the microprocessor. A linear area of a specified length corresponding to the time cycle is allocated on the display panel to each of the optical display elements. Each of the display sections has at least one display element (25, 26).
