An electric incandescent lamp having a filament, a glass flare, a bulb, a base, a pumping stem for evacuating the bulb during manufacture and electrical conductors connecting the base and the filament. The base is connected to the pumping stem, which thus connects the base with the bulb which is located at a distance therefrom.
