A container is evacuated through a vacuum pipe, and is filled through a suction pipe. The device has a ventilation valve which controls the connection of the container inside with the atmosphere, and a filling level indicator operated by a sensor controlled by the filling level. The filling level sen sor (50') is coupled with the ventilation valve and opens it as soon as the filling level rises above a specified height. The air flowing through the inlet connection (76') generates an audible signal. The absolute pressure in the container ranges from 0.0 to 0.4 bar, or from 0.1 bar to 0.8 bar. An acoustic signal may be produced by a resonant body.
