CATHODE FOR ELECTRON TUBE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE:To prevent the burr by forming the cross-section from the top of cathode sleeve to the thermal electron emitting member layer to be head-cut conical or head- cut spherical. CONSTITUTION:Head-cut conical recess is formed in the guide 56 a cylindrical zig 531 and a tubular zig 532 to be fitted with said zig 531 while having a bevel at the end, then a cylindrical basic metal 51 and a cathode sleeve 52 are mounted on it through the guide 56, and external pressure is applied on the basic metal 51 by means of a punch 55 to be fitted with said cathode sleeve 52. The basic matal 51 is extended perpendicularly with the common axis 57 thus fitted with the cathode sleeve 52 while it is deformed in the direction of common axis 57 such that one edge of cylindrical basic metal 51 is fitted with the shape of head-cut conical recess.
