PURPOSE:To improve the ease of using of the copying machine by interrupting auto- shut-off function or auto-count-clear function while it is being detected that there is the operater in the operating region necessary for operating the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:When a copying machine 2 and copying paper 3 for replenishment 3 are installed along the wall 1 at one corner of office, etc., the shaded portion A encircled by the alternate long and two short dashes line is considerd operating region. A detector 4 is provided so that the operator may be detected no matter he is in any position of the operating region A. The detection signal thereof is inputted to the copying machine 2 through connecting part 5 and the auto-shut-off function or auto-count clear function of the copying machine 2 is so controlled as to be interrupted temporarily by the detection signal thereof. |
