REDUCING MATERIAL FOR STEEL MAKING During reducing period in steel making, particularly in making of stainless steel, reduction of oxides in the slag and desulphurization of the molten steel are promoted by adding a reducing material which is prepared by mixing uniformly aluminum powder and lime and the like and compression molding the mixture into a desired shape.
