<p>The rollers are arranged in an hexagonal array of lower driven rollers and co-operating upper presser rollers, and the driven rollers are connected together by crown gears and drive is fed into the arrangement at two diametrically opposite points. Pref. the driven rolls are driven by a cam actuated pawl and ratchet mechanism. The knitted hose is drawn from the machine through the nips between the upper and lower rollers, and a uniform tension is maintained around the complete circumference of the hose.</p> |
