PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for removing foreign matters from a fluidized furnace, which is arranged such that, in incinerating refuse or the like containing foreign matters of grain diameters larger than those of fluidizing medium, foreign matters settled on the bottom of the furnace are extracted when pressure difference at upper and lower two points in the fluidized furnace has become a certain level, whereby it is enabled to extract forreign matters at minimum frequencies. CONSTITUTION:A fluidized furnace 1 of this invention comprises a fluidized bed 2 having sand as fluidizing medium, a wind box 3 for supplying fluidizing gas, and nozzles 4 for blowing out fluidizing gas to form the fluidized bed 2. At a portion of the bottom of furnace 1, there is provided a foreign-matter reservoir 5 which extends to a position lower than other portion. In such an arrangement, foreign matters 6 are fluidized together with sand in reservoir 5 by fluidizing gas ejected from nozzle 7 disposed at a lower portion in reservoir 5, and settled therein downwardly of sand because of their difference of specific gravity until top of the settled foreign matters passes through level A and reaches level B shown in the drawing. Here, pressure at the two levels A and B is detected by respective pressure detecting means 8, 9 and pressure loss between these two levels is measured by control means 12. When the level of foreign matters 6 has reached a position between levels A and B, damper 10 is opened for extracting foreign matters accumulated in reservoir 5. |
