<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the operation by accomplishing the positioning of a type wheel cassette housing a petal-shaped type wheel and a motor and the positioning of the type wheel with only one loading/unloading lever. CONSTITUTION:When the type wheel is replaced following the printing operation, a loading/unloading lever 37 is turned to move studs 41 and 42. By so doing, the movement of the wheel cassette 7 is selected so that the cassette 7 is separated form the platen 2 to such an extent that it can move into or out of a wheel cassette holder 19. A motor 11 and the wheel cassette holder 19 are moved to the replacement position and held with the effect of a torque spring 46. Then, at the replacement position, a ribon in a ribon cassette 32 is taken off a ribon guide 23 and the wheel cassette 7 is pulled out. In stead, a new wheel cassette is loaded and retained due to the effect of the torque spring 47 with the lever 37 moved to the printing position.</p> |
