<p>The material consists of a hydraulic binder with complementary materials, the novelty being the mixing, with the binder, of an inorganic additive which, when heated become liq. and forms a resistant structure with the solid cpds. in the binder. The additive pref. remains liq. until the moment when a ceramic-type bond is botd. between the solid components in the binder, and the additive is pref. a ceramic frit. This material has wide application in the construction industry and its advantage is that it replaces the water of compsn. holding the product together, this water being lost when the product is heated, i.e. in a fire.</p> |
