A butterfly valve for control quantity of fluid flow was operated by a rotatable shaft(3) which was joined by screw thread with a rotatable cap-type body (6) and a slidable cylinder body(5). The butterfly valve composed of the slidable cylinder body(5) mounted on a bearing part(2) to be vertically movable to the direction of a center shaft(8), the rotatable body(6) mounted on a valve case(1) for rotating around the center shaft(8), and a thrust ball bearing (10) which was rotatively supported between the bearing part(2) and the rotatable body(6).
