<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the terminal voltage of a synchronous motor from abnormally rising at the time of trial power application, by adding an overvoltage limiter to an excitation controller for the trial power application. CONSTITUTION:When a level set on a manual field voltage regulator 5 is increased after the closing of circuit breakers 1, 12, 10 and a field circuit breakers 8 for the trial power application, an operational amplifier 42 compares the output of a field voltage detector 4 with the sum of the set level and the output of the overvoltage limiter 15 and amplifies the difference to apply a control signal to a phase controller 6. When the output voltage of a voltage detector 151 exceeds a level set on an overvoltage setting unit 152, the overvoltage limiter 15 produces a limiting signal.</p> |
