<p>The extending tent for car roofs has two shells bolted together for travelling. The bottom shell is fixed to the car roof rack and the top extends vertically, while the space between the shell edges has a fixed continuous tent cloth. Inside the front and back of the bottom shell are threaded shafts (15, 16). These are counter-threaded along their length, with threaded nuts (32, 33, 34, 35) and levers. The two shafts are connected by a continuous chain (21) working on sprockets (26, 27) so that the turning handle (38) operates both shafts, lifting the top shell.</p> |
