The waterproof survival suit has a pair of trousers made from flexible thermally insulated material. The trousers are closed at the feet and are fitted with adjustable braces (7). The trousers are also fitted with a buoyancy belt (13). The upper part of the suit is widened to include the arms and extends over the head of the survivor with a front window (20) at face height. The top of the suit may be closed with a thin material that is permeable to air but not to water.
