<p>The equipment is for the detection of acupuncture reflex points and the subsequent localised treatment. An oscillator emits audible signals near the site of a reflex point which is detected using a system incorporating an exploratory electrode and an electrode held by the patient. These two electrodes form, with their wires and the patient's body, a closed circuit with the oscillator and a current source. A second electrode is held in the patient's other hand and is associated with an impedance circuit to establish a fixed reference impedance determined by the threshold oscillation of the oscillator.</p> |
