<p>PURPOSE:To allow a caliper to float even in the circumferential direction of a piston by covering a sleeve which holds the guide pin for caliper'a floating with sliding possibility reserved, with a rubber bushing and an outer cylinder and then fixing this assembly on a hole provided in a fixing member. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 30 is fitted on the periphery of guide pin 21 of a caliper 20 with possibility to slide and a rubber bushing 31 is put on this sleeve 30, and over them an outer cylinder 32 is fixed. A guide pin assembly having the abovementioned construction is inserted in a retainer hole 11 provided in a fixing member 10, being hindered from separation by lids 33, 33'. When the brake is put into function while the disc rotor is deformed due to brake etc., motion of a pad which should move in compliance with this deformation, is tolerated by this rubber bushing 31, that ensures performance of the brake as well as prevents the pad from wearing asymmetrically.</p> |
